John Olson
John R. Olson, Ph.D. has worked with many organizations implementing systems that lead to increased profitability, optimized production flow, improved quality, and effective use of analytics in decision making. The success with his clients is founded on his belief that problems must be solved collaboratively to build sustainable results. This boots on the ground approach helps blend theory and techniques with practical applications that have lasting impact for the business.
Dr. Olson formerly served as a quality director for 3M and is currently a professor and Director of the Business Analytics program at University of St Thomas. Dr. Olson has a Ph.D in Operations Management and specializes in analytics, quality and operational modeling. In addition, has his six sigma master black belt, lean sensei, and theory of constraint certificates.
John is very passionate about the outdoors and spending quality time with his family.
Phillip Hines
Phil Hines is an experienced business and manufacturing consultant. He has 35 years experience in Engineering, Project Management, Process Design, Manufacturing Design and Management. In the last decade, he has focused on improving profitability through efficiencies in manufacturing and business operations, working directly with operators, managers and owners. Recent experiences include mentoring and succession planning, managing labor for peak workloads and use of out-sourcing, strategic implementation of automation, and developing lean cultures for driving internal continuous improvement.
Phil is also very passionate about training championship level hunting retrievers and upland hunting.
